What are the Pre-requisites to take this course?

There are no specified pre-requisites to participate in this course. This course is designed for training officers and instructors of all levels.

Am I able to register someone else for this course?

This course is intended for individual use. Do not use another individual's login information to register for a course. You must login as yourself to receive a certificate of completion. 

Can I get a refund if I am unable to participate in this course?

Full payment is due prior to the start of a class. Late registrations are subject to a 15% increase. No refunds for cancellations will be given after thirty (30) days prior to the start date of the class. 

Refunds will not be given for no-shows at a live in-person event.

ISFSI will transfer registration to another Training Officer Credential class within nine (9) months of the original registered class.

How long is the credential valid for?

The ISFSI Training Officer Credential is valid for three years. Instructors will need to complete an online re-credential platform in order to keep the credential valid after the three year time period; the re-credential platform will provide an additional three years to your credential. If you lose the credential, you will be required to complete the Training Officer Credential class to obtain the credential again. 

How long should I devote to complete the online pre-course work?

The online pre-course work for the ISFSI Training Officer class is intensive and we recommend you allow at least 30 hours to complete the platform prior to the live in-person event.

Is this course eligible for any continuing education credits?

The ISFSI Training Officer Credential Program is eligible for 32 hours of continuing education through Columbia Southern University. Students will need to contact the ISFSI Program Manager for additional information.
